Bachelor of Ayurvediv Medicine & Surgery
Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery or BAMS is an undergraduate curriculum designed to train students in the traditional Ayurvedic form of medicine & surgery & application in patient care. As part of the course curriculum, students in the BAMS programme are taught a combination of both Ayurveda and modern medical theory.
Students interested in pursuing BAMS should have completed their 10 + 2/Intermediate/PUC in Science stream (Physics, Chemistry & Biology). NEET is the entrance exam & its score is primary criteria for getting admitted into Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery.
Ayurvedic practioners use Ayurvedic therapies, herbal remedies, diet & lifestyle recommendations to diagnose, treat & prevent health issues., by using characteristics of herbs, and its medications for natural healing.
Students are tought Human Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Surgery, traditional healing methods such as Panchakarma, Yoga, and Naturopathy.
Post completion of BAMS, students can work in Ayurvedic hospitals or practice in their clinic as Ayurvedic doctors and surgeons.
