The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, is establishing SIX AIIMS healthcare institutes as part of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). With the goal of redressing regional disparities in the country's quality tertiary healthcare and achieving self-sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education and training.
