The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar was founded in 2015 by the Government of India with the cooperation of the Punjab Government. It is located in Amritsar, the Golden Temple's holy city. The permanent campus is being built 7 kilometres from the ISBT and 8.5 kilometres from the railway station.
It provides a master's degree programme in management, as well as business analytics and human resources management, executive programmes for working executives, and doctoral programmes.
It adheres to the same pedagogy as the IIM fraternity. IIM Amritsar provides a nurturing atmosphere for its students to learn and flourish through various amenities such as state-of-the-art classrooms, digital libraries, student activity rooms, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, gymnasium, spacious hostel rooms, and other facilities.
