About

In Lawton, Oklahoma, Cameron University is a public university. Through undergraduate and graduate programmes, it provides more than 50 degrees. The degree programmes have a strong emphasis on graduate and professional studies, science and technology, and liberal arts. It was one of six agricultural high schools in the predominantly rural area when it was established in 1908, not long after Oklahoma became a state.

Life on campus

Weekdays and nights are when the majority of courses are offered. To offer lessons all around the world, Cameron makes use of the internet, television, and a nationwide fiber-optic network. Students can take part in pre-professional studies, cooperative learning, independent study, teacher certification, and the Army ROTC programme. Additionally, Cameron provides programmes for honours, early entrance, advanced standing, and college-level exams. Due to their typical ACT scores being in the ninth percentile, 58% of new students need remedial instruction.

On campus, there are numerous clubs and organisations for a variety of interests, including departmental, minority, professional, political, and religious associations as well as a number of honorary and recognised societies. Student government, choral ensembles, jazz ensembles, theatre, and Greek life are additional opportunities for involvement for students.
