Elmhurst, which was established in 1871, draws students from all across the country and the world. Our faculty members are brilliant scholars and professionals, but above all, they are devoted teachers who work directly with students in small classrooms.
We formally changed our name from Elmhurst College to Elmhurst University on July 1, 2020. In addition to anticipating prospects for new programmes and partnerships, the move more appropriately represents Elmhurst's current educational profile as a comprehensive higher education institution that offers undergraduate and graduate programmes in the liberal arts and applied sciences.
We will commemorate the 150th anniversary of our creation throughout the 2021–2022 academic year with exclusive insights back into our past, special activities, and more.
