In more than 140 undergraduate and graduate degree programmes, our seven Colleges and Schools develop, apply, and disseminate science, engineering, technology, and mathematics.
We don't do easy with Diffy Q, Chem I, Thermo, or Orgo. Through intense engagement, design thinking, and leadership committed to the transformative power of STEM education, gifted professors mentor motivated students in demanding studies. We foster creativity, cultural competency, and critical thinking through curricula in the arts and humanities and active learning classrooms that allow students to use their own devices.
"Students learn about stakeholders, evaluate evidence, and discuss many points of view—skills necessary for success as global citizens. Since learning occurs when we let go of what we believe to be true and widen our horizons to new ideas and possibilities."
Opportunities for undergraduate research are available straight away. Students learn, create, and act through Enterprise, Senior Design, Pavlis Honors College, and The Alley Makerspace. The future is created at Michigan Tech.
We manufacture doorknobs out of wood scraps, plastic filament out of recycled water bottles, and hybrid solar energy available to Upper Michigan citizens.
In order to build a two-way understanding of the socioeconomic and environmental repercussions, we monitor volcanoes and collaborate with people who live on their slopes.
