Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth is one of the best universities among Maharashtra with a mandate of agricultural education, research and extension. Libraries play pivotal role in dissemination of knowledge and information to the students, readers in their education, research and extension activities. In order to cater the needs of the readers, the University Library, started functioning at Central Campus in the year 1968 with a merge collection of 2070 books only. It is developing steadily under the able guidance of Vice-Chancellor and Chairmanship of Library Advisory Committee and rendering various services to the readers, scientists, teachers, students etc. since last fifty years.
