The Gondwana University was designed and established with the foresight to meet the needs of the socioculturally and economically underdeveloped districts of Gadchiroli and Chandrapur. The state's welfare policies of an all-inclusive development have been continuously attempted to be put into practise by the network of governmental agencies, but the resulting progress has lagged behind other regions of the state. This delay has led to several sociopolitical conflicts and issues, as evidenced by the increase in Naxalites violence. Even while a rapid, inclusive growth is the ideal solution to all of these problems, it cannot be realised without a suitable vision and a technique that fits the situation. Therefore, the establishment of a new institution is a wise move.
The data collected on the general state of the university's domain shows that it has regional issues including long-standing poverty, biases resulting from fixed mindsets, aimlessness resulting from conventional ignorance, etc. The result of all of this is a significant divide between the local population and the rest of mainstream society. To put it briefly, the real curriculum of the new university consists of turning challenges into possibilities.
The university has thought about appropriate strategies that are in line with our desired goals in order to make the aforementioned vision a reality. At the same time, attempts will be made to strengthen the learners' motivational capacities in order to instil in them hope and aspiration for self-promotion. This is undoubtedly a huge and imposing undertaking, but it is also a worthy challenge that we have consciously agreed to take on.
A university often only focuses on higher education. We want a tiny but significant variation from this as part of our risky experiment. For instance, in rural and underdeveloped areas, there are many young individuals with only a middle school education but who are innately capable of performing specialised work after receiving the appropriate and sufficient training. So it is necessary to give these individuals a career-focused education, encouraging them to launch their own business or find gainful employment with a competitive salary, in order for them to live equal-status and happy lives. By using specific contemporary strategies in the sphere of education, we may accomplish a lot through our university. The university will have the mission and vision listed below with the aforementioned idea in mind.
