The Government of India established The 31st National Institute of Technology in Andhra Pradesh (NIT - AP) is the 31st NIT started by Government of India from the academic year 2015–2016. The Institute currently offers B.Tech., M.Tech., Ph.D., and MS programmes.
In the air-strip grounds of Tadepalligudem, a new campus has been established with 172.6 acres of land near to the Chennai-Kolkata Highway (NH-16). Building on Phase 1A is currently complete, and construction on Phase 1B is nearly complete.
