The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) sits 22 kilometres north-east of Calicut City, in a magnificent location at the foothills of the Western Ghats. The Government of India established the National Institute of Technology Calicut as a Technical Institution of National Importance.
In the NIRF rankings, the institute is placed 23rd in the Engineering stream and 3rd in the Architecture stream. In the MHRD'sAtal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) 2020, our Institute received the 8th place (the only NIT among the Top 10) in the category of Institutes of National Importance, Central Universities, and CFTIs, recognising the Institute's vibrant culture of research and innovation.
