ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Passed the 10+2 examination of the Punjab School Education Board or any other equivalent examination (such as 11+1, 'A' level in Senior School Leaving Certificate course) from a recognized University of India or outside or from a Senior Secondary Board or equivalent institution from a foreign country with at least 45% marks in the case of general category applicants, 42% in the case of OBC applicants, and 40% in the case of SC/ST applicants. Applicants who achieved their 10+2 straight through the Open Universities system and do not have any prerequisite qualifications for pursuing such studies are eligible for admission to the 7 legal programmes. According to BCI:D 1519(LE:Circular-6) dated 17.09.2016, 10th, 12th(+2), and Graduation qualifications can be earned by any mode (distance/correspondence/open education technique). The maximum age restriction for admission candidates shall be determined by the Bar Council of India and authorized by the syndicate on a regular basis. |
