Our Vice Chancellor has also been Vice Chancellor in MJPRohilkhand University, Bareilly and Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University, Lucknow. He has also served as Professor, Head and Dean in the Faculty of Education, University of Lucknow, Lucknow. Having teaching experience of more than 35 years alongside various administrative capacities, he introduced and successfully executed many innovative approaches in teaching in the classroom.

Prof. Shukla is the recipient of some very prestigious fellowship viz. Fulbright Fellow, US, Commonwealth Fellow, Oxford University, UK, & Korea Foundation Fellow, South Korea, helping him in making his vision of higher education global in outlook and rooted to culture. Having research interests inQuality Education, Teacher Education & Internationalization of Higher Education, he has authored more than seven books and has about 45 publications in different journals with international repute. He has attended & pioneered several National & International seminars, conferences, campaigns and exhibitions on contemporary issues and has worked for various international Research Projects funded from World Bank and several National Agencies. He has been the President and General Secretary of Teachers Association of Lucknow University.
