Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Urdu, Arabi-Farsi University was founded in accordance with the Uttar Pradesh Arabi Farsi Universities Act 2009 (U.P. Act No. 12 of 2009).

University' in honour of the revered Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti of Ajmer, whose simplicity and charity have touched people all over the world, by an Amendment in the year 2012. Additionally, it holds the 12B and 2f statuses from the University Grants Commission. The proposal to rename the university as "Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University" was approved by the State Cabinet in the month of February 2020.

On the Sitapur-Hardoi Bypass Road, the university encourages its students to gradually contribute to the creation of a knowledge society by providing them with a high standard of education in addition to a thorough awareness of the national cultural heritage.

Students studying Urdu, Arabic, Persian, English, Hindi, Geography, and other subjects began the university's first semester in August 2013.

As part of its Graduate and Postgraduate programmes, the university's first academic session began in August 2013 with students studying Urdu, Arabic, Persian, English, Hindi, Geography, History, Economics, HomeScience, Physical Education, Political Science, Education, Business, Computer Science, and Journalism and Mass Communication. In addition to these, diploma programmes have also proven to be a popular choice for students enrolling in universities. Currently, this strength is 3820, and the number of programmes this university offers has also greatly expanded.

The University has expanded significantly in both size and scope since its founding. With a rich fusion of professionalism and tradition, it now provides a wide range of educational possibilities to students from within and outside the state, and it has already carved out a place for itself in Uttar Pradesh's academic community.

Engineering and technology-related professional degrees have long been favourites of students.
As a result, the university began offering B.Tech. programmes in 2019 that are AICTE approved in the fields of civil engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, fashion technology, and computer science and engineering with artificial intelligence and machine learning. The university has already begun offering LL.M. programmes, and it hopes to begin offering LL.B. programmes beginning with the current academic year.

The university is always trying new things to solidify its reputation as a language university. To enable students acquire a new language in addition to their usual academic programmes, the university is currently providing specialist courses in various Indian and Foreign Languages in addition to offering classes in Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Urdu, Arabic, and Persian. The university has also chosen to provide courses on language history and culture. Additionally, practically all university departments have started Value Added Courses to meet the requirements of NEP 2020 criteria.

Given the value of sports and physical activity in addition to academics, the university offers a physical education curriculum at the undergraduate level and regularly hosts sporting events on its campus.
In addition to maintaining the physical security of the property, efforts have been made to secure it digitally. For this reason, CCTV cameras have been put all throughout the campus. Additionally, the university offers free Wi-Fi to all students, teachers, and non-teaching employees.
