The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak has been established by an Act of the Parliament of India. It came into existence by the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act, 2007 and came into action on July 2008. The jurisdiction of the University extends to the whole country and it is fully funded by the Central Government through the University Grant Commission. The university caters to the tribals’ long cherished dream of higher education.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • "Master's Degree holders who meet the criteria outlined in Clause 2 above."
  • Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade of 'B' on the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is used) and successfully completed the M.Phil. Degree shall be eligible to continue to do research work leading to the Ph. D. Degree in the same Institution in an integrated program. applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of applicants may be granted a 5% mark reduction, from 55% to 50%, or an equal grade reduction, as determined by the Commission from time to time.
  • A person whose M.Phil. dissertation has been reviewed and whose viva voce is pending may be admitted to the same institution's Ph.D. program.

B.Com

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Students who have completed a 10+2 examination in Commerce or Mathematics from a recognized Board/Institution with a minimum aggregate score of 45% in the case of applicants belonging to the General and OBC categories and 40% in the case of students belonging to the SC/ST/PWD categories are eligible to apply.

BCA

B.C.A. - Bachelor of Computer Applications

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Students who have completed the 10+2 examination with Mathematics from a recognized Board/Institution with a minimum of 45% aggregate in the case of applicants from the General and OBC categories and 40% in the case of students from the SC/ST/PWD categories are eligible to apply.

MCA

Master of Computer Applications

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • BCA/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent Degree is required. OR B.Sc./B.Com./B.A. with Mathematics at the 10+2 level or at the Graduation Level (with extra Bridging Courses as per the University's requirements). Attained at least 50% in the qualifying examination (45% for candidates from the reserved category).

B.Ed

Bachelor of Education

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree and/or a Master's Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities with a minimum of 50% marks or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology with a specialization in Science and Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized Indian or Foreign University / Board (as per the AIU foreign equivalence list) or any other qualification equivalent thereto.

BBA

TRAVEL AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Students who have completed 10+2 exams in any discipline from a recognized Board/Institution with a minimum of 45% aggregate in the case of applicants belonging to the General and OBC categories and 40% in the case of students belonging to the SC/ST/PWD categories are eligible to apply. 

B.Pharmacy

Bachelor of Pharmacy

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Students who have passed the 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized board as equivalent to the 10+2 examination conducted by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (P.C.M.) and or Biology (P.C.B / P.C.M.B.) as optional subjects are individuals. Any other qualification recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India as comparable to any of the preceding tests. Candidates with a minimum aggregate score of 50% in the General and OBC categories, and 45% in the SC/ST/PWD categories, are eligible to apply.

B.Sc (Hons)
