Symbiosis was founded by visionary Dr S B Mujumdar in 1971 as an International Cultural and Educational Center. Symbiosis provides a “home away from home” to a large number of students including foreign students who come to Pune in pursuit of higher education. Dr S.B. Mujumdar was awarded the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan by His Excellency President of India. Living up to its name which is a botanical term meaning “living together for mutual benefit”, Symbiosis has grown over the past four decades into a family of 43 academic institutions providing education from Kindergarten to Post Graduation in a wide range of disciplines. Today, Symbiosis is ranked amongst the top education providers in the country and is known in India and abroad for its excellence in education.

Symbiosis Open Education Society (SOES) was established to promote vocational, skill-based education and open & distance learning. SOES has four constituent units under its aegis – Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL), Symbiosis Vocational Junior College, Symbiosis Community College and Symbiosis Institute of Skill Development. SCDL was established in 1994 with the objective of “Reaching the Unreached”.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Aspirants seeking admission to the three-year full-time program must have completed the intermediate or 10+2 level with PCM from a recognized board.

BBA

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Candidates must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent course from a recognized university with at least 50% marks to be eligible for the BBA program. Candidates from the reserved categories get a 5% discount on their qualifying exam score.
  • In contrast, NRI/International students must have finished 10+2 or equivalent examination from any Foreign Board and acquire an equivalency certificate from AIU to be eligible for BBA. 

MBA

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Candidates must have a bachelor's degree of at least three years with a minimum of 50% marks for the General category and 45% for the Reserved category from the state of Madhya Pradesh to be eligible for the MBA programme. Admission also requires a valid CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/SNAP result.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Candidates applying for the B.Tech programme must have completed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as obligatory courses, as well as one of the following topics: Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational. Furthermore, general category applicants must have 50% in the qualifying test, while reserved category candidates must have 45%.
  • NRI/International applicants must have finished 10+2 or equivalent examination from any Foreign Board and must receive an equivalency certificate from AIU to be eligible for B.Tech.
