1884 is the landmark year as the foundation stone was laid 138 years ago for Shri Vaishnav Group of Institutions by compassionate cloth merchants of Vaishnav cult of Indore, which was later rechristened as Shri Vaishnav Sahayak Kapada Market Committee in the year 1934.

  • Candidates seeking admission to the first year of the Bachelor of Arts program must have passed the higher secondary examination (10+2) of the M.P. Higher Secondary Board or an examination recognized as comparable thereto with at least 50% marks or equivalent Grade in the aggregate. Except for the creamy layer, 5% will be relaxed for SC/ST/OBC. Admission will be determined via an Admission Exam followed by a Group Discussion or on the basis of merit.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • If a candidate has obtained a Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution in any field of science, business, or the arts with at least 50% overall marks or an equivalent grade, they are eligible for admission to the M.A. program. For SC/ST/OBC, 5% will be waived, except for the creamy layer. After completing the requisite program of study for at least two years in the institution and passing the necessary exams in all disciplines in accordance with UGC regulations, the applicant will be qualified to get a degree.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Candidates for the programs mentioned above must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational with at least 45% (for General category) and 40% (for SC/ST/OBC (excluding creamy layer) category) of Madhya Pradesh in aggregate of any recognized board. They must also have taken the JEE or an equivalent qualifying examination.
  • Those who have not taken the JEE or another entrance exam must take the SVET in order to be considered for admission. The eligibility and qualifying requirements will remain the same as they are for applicants who have taken the JEE or another entrance exam of equal standing.
  • Candidates may also apply on a provisional basis while still taking the qualifying exams. However, these applicants must present the original degree program completion certificate or grade report (showing aggregate marks) at the time of counseling in order to be considered for admission to the specific program.
  • Such candidates, whose mark sheets are based on the grading scale, must modify the grade in the marks scale according to the formula stated in their initial mark sheets.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • The candidate shall have passed B.E. /B. Tech or equivalent examinations approved by the AICTE in appropriate branch and appropriate university/institute with at least 55% marks in the aggregate at final year examination or any other qualification as recommended by AICTE for a particular program. Candidate belonging to SC/ST / OBC (non-creamy layer) categories will get a relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks as mentioned above.
    Applicants possessing valid GATE score shall be given preference over to those candidates who do not possess GATE score for a full-time program.
  • Non-GATE qualified candidates may also be considered. If GATE qualified candidates are not available. Admission to Non-GATE candidates as well as sponsored candidates shall be based on written test & interview conducted by the University.
  • The applicants who have not appeared in any entrance test needed to appear in SVET for admission against vacancies. Eligibility and qualification criteria will remain same as applicable for the candidates who have appeared in GATE or any other equivalent entrance test.
  • Such candidates, whose mark sheet is based on the grading system, need to change the grade in marks system as formula given in their original mark sheet.
