 The Madhya Pradesh government has established this university on December 19, 2011 to increase teaching, training and research in all areas of knowledge and science through Hindi medium.

The objective of this university is to create a young generation who is world class in terms of employability skills and character along with holistic personality development. The University seeks to create an educational system that can integrate Indian knowledge and modern knowledge and develop a mindset among students, teachers and parents that gives priority to the welfare of the entire universe by being India-centric.

With the approval of the President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, the foundation stone for such a university was set on June 6, 2013, on 50 acres of land in the village of Mugalia Kot. About 442 students have enrolled in this university for the 2017–18 academic year, up from 60 in the academic year 2012–13. Over 231 courses in 18 faculties have been created in Hindi to far. Through a part-time certificate programme, every university student is given access to computer training, a foreign language, a province language, and Hindi language instruction. The emphasis in all of the courses is on promoting the idea of self-employment with value-based professionalism in the relevant field while also providing information about the contributions made by India to that field along with modern knowledge.
