Sankalchand Patel University’s history can be traced back to 1952 when Nootan Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal (NSVKM) was established by Shri. Sankalchand Patel, a freedom fighter and a social entrepreneur. The objective was to fulfill educational and socio-cultural needs of the people in North Gujarat. It was the collective vision of Shri. Sankalchand Patel and the Trust which helped Nootan Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal (NSVKM) achieve the status of Sankalchand Patel University (SPU). At the university, value based diversified education was given prominence and delivered to the students in North Gujarat.

Since 2014, under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Chairman, Shri. Prakash Patel, the trust has effectively achieved its goal to fulfill educational needs in the area through the Nootan Education cluster of 2 schools and 13 colleges on two separate campuses. The Trust commenced its first educational activity with the setting-up of the Nootan High School in Visnagar.

Today, the trust successfully administers educational institutions right from primary schools to graduate and post graduate colleges and other professional courses including Ph.D. programs. The trust’s unswerving efforts towards the growth of education have earned its institutes many merits and a resilient name in the educational campaign of India.

  • Applicants seeking admission to the Program must satisfy the following requirements as stipulated by the institute.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENT 

  • The candidate must be a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with any State Nursing Registration Council.
  • B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council must be the minimum educational criteria. SC/ST applicants may be granted a 5% mark reduction.
  • After completing a basic B.Sc. in nursing, you must have at least one year of work experience.

  • A minimum of 40% on the qualifying test in both English and 10 + 2 with English is required for any accredited board.
  • Candidates from state-recognized open schools are also eligible. Candidates are also eligible if they attended a state-approved open school or a national institution of an open school accredited by the federal government. Science, however, is preferred.
  • A certified CBSE board or center must have a 10 + 2 in English and 40% in the Vocational Stream of Health Science.
