The Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE), founded in 2010, was the idea of Shri Narendra Modi, who was Gujarat's then chief minister. He planned to start a school that would train top-notch instructors and send them abroad. He wanted India to take the lead at a time when there is a global teacher shortage.
"A businessman controls funds if you transfer him to a foreign country, but a teacher controls a whole generation," said someone once. Modi once said.
One of the few such visionaries, Shri Narendra Modi, believed that education in the twenty-first century would not only include a degree but also an all-encompassing setup. As a result, the concept of innovative, residential, integrated degrees was developed. The curriculum of IITE was created by a group of specialists under the direction of renowned Indian academician and philosopher Shri Kireetbhai Joshi and other scholars of national and international significance in order to give material form to the best educational philosophies from all over the world.
