Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is a statutory institution of higher learning founded by the Gujarati government in accordance with the Gujarat National Law University Act, 2003. The Bar Council of India (BCI) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) (2f & 12B) both acknowledge the university. The University is a part of several other organisations, including the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), International Association of Law Schools (IALS), Asian Law Institute (ASLI), and Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute.
In order to meet its mission, vision, and core values as a socially responsible educational institution, GNLU is dedicated to being a leader in environmental sustainability research, teaching, and extension. The University's commitment to minimise energy use and greenhouse gas emissions in order to address climate change is reflected in the promise made in its Campus Master Plan. Through the integration of sustainability into every facet of campus life and operations, the university works to lessen its negative environmental effect.
We take great care to preserve the campus ecology and ecosystem in addition to all the other tasks we conduct. Along with its students and faculty, GNLU's expansive 50-acre campus is home to a wide variety of trees, flowers, bushes, butterflies, birds, and other living things, including rare and valuable species.
The University community treasures this opulent and priceless bequest. To involve everyone and promote a green lifestyle, we have extensive regulations and guidelines. The schooling here places a strong emphasis on living in harmony with the environment.
