By Chhattisgarh Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam No. 18 of 2008, SANT GAHIRA GURU VISHWAVIDYALAYA, SURGUJA AMBIKAPUR (FORMERLY SARGUJA VISHWAVIDYALAYA) was founded and incorporated on September 2nd, 2008. The whole Sarguja Division, which consists of five revenue districts, is under the University's territorial purview. Korea, Surguja, Jashpur, Surajpur, and Balrampur are included in this. By disseminating knowledge across all fields, the university was founded to benefit society.
