The first private university in Chhattisgarh, Dr.C.V. Raman University, was established on November 3rd, 2006, and officially opened on October 14, 2007. It is located in the tribal community of Kota, District Bilaspur, in Chhattisgarh, and it has a fantastic infrastructure. In 2005, the Niji Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, which created the university. With a broad range of programmes and concentrations in areas including engineering, management, the arts, science, education, law, IT, etc., the institution has made a name for itself as the area's centre for research and higher education over the years. Starting with the academic year, the university began operating in accordance with its approved status and regulations (2007-08). It is accredited with a B+ grade by NAAC, included in the NIRF ranking, and recognised by the UGC, AICTE, NCTE, and BCI. It is also certified by ISO:9001:2008, a member of AIU, and accredited with these other organisations. It is included in a list of the top 30 engineering schools in India (INDIA TODAY 2018).
