Atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavidyalaya (Viswavidyalaya) is a state university that was formed by Chhattisgarh Act No. 07, 2012, which was published in the gazette on February 3, 2012.

In June 2012, the Chhattisgarh Viswavidyalaya (Amendment) Act became effective. The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavidyalaya now has authority over the following districts: revenue districts of Bilaspur, Mungeli, Korba, and Gaurela. -Pendra-Marwahi.

The University is located on Bilaspur- Ratanpur Road, In Front of Koni Police Thana, Koni, Bilaspur (C.G) 495009. The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavidyalaya has affiliations with roughly 95 public and private colleges across the four districts of Chhattisgarh State. The colleges offer undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of fields, including science, the arts, commerce, law, and education, as well as research centres.
