Global University (India), formerly known as ICI University, is an independent study and distance education school that provides various programs and types of Christian instruction for students around the world. It brings the school to the people where they are. Global University (India) is also a publisher, assisting churches, colleges and other learning institutions by providing quality learning tools in print and other formats.

The Division of Foreign Missions of the Assemblies of God, USA, founded the school of ICI in July 1967. Formation of ICI as a worldwide distance education school was the result of the visionary efforts of George M. Flattery. Today the international office is situated at Springfield, MO, USA.

The first office of Global University in India began in Bangalore. The Home Study Division of the Assemblies of God was already in operation, but later its name was changed to International Correspondence Institute (ICI). Subsequently the Global University office in Kolkata was inaugurated to serve the Bengali speaking areas of India. The opening of additional Global University offices in Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Trivandrum, Cochin, and East India followed this.

Now In India, Global University has a registered head office at Madurai and three regional offices; the North India Regional Office is in Delhi, the South India Regional Office is in Madurai and the East India Regional Office is in Dimapur.
