What is Aqua Culture?
Water covers around three-quarters of the Earth's surface, aqua science has become a popular topic. The field, sometimes known as Aquatic Science, comprises a variety of disciplines concerned with the geology and composition of oceans, rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, and wetlands, as well as the living forms that live in them. It investigates the earth's interconnected elements, including as the atmosphere, oceans, and land mass, as well as changes in their processes and their relationship to the earth's changing conditions.
Aquaculture refers to the controlled cultivation of aquatic organisms such as fish, crustaceans, mollusks, and aquatic plants; Oceanography studies oceans and estuaries by combining the principles of biology, chemistry, geology, meteorology, and physics; and Limnology studies rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, and different bodies of water using the same principles of basic sciences, Marine geology, and so on.
Commercial fishing, on the other hand, is the collection of wild fish. Aquaculture involves the cultivation of freshwater and saltwater populations under controlled conditions. It also includes an important topic called Mariculture, which refers to aquaculture in maritime environments. Algaculture (the production of kelp/seaweed and other algae); fish farming; shrimp farming, shellfish farming, and the cultivation of cultured pearls are all examples of aquaculture. Aquaculture is defined as the regulated breeding and cultivation of diverse fish and aquatic species for commercial purposes. Fish farming is the most important component of aquaculture, and it is used for human food, as well as industrial and therapeutic applications.
