A professional in the science, practice, and management of agriculture and agribusiness is known as an agriculturist, agriculturalist, agrologist, or agronomic. Agriculturists' major duty is to oversee agricultural projects and initiatives, usually in agribusiness planning or research for the benefit of farms, food, and agribusiness-related businesses.
