Law offers exciting and lucrative professional all over the world offering adventurous career. Law professionals are respected in the society and are seen as fighters for keeping truth and keep law of land intact. The need for legal professionals is needed for common citizens even for non - legal activities including agreements, land documents, wills, contracts, and many more thereby increasing the opportunities for legal professions.

Law profession has been keeping up with the changing times with introduction of new law streams like Cyber law, intellectual property law, corporate law, Technology law and many others. These streams were introduced to tackle the evolving challenges for lawyers and the need for trained resources who are in demand in law firms and corporates alike.

Interested students who want to pursue law should do a 3 years bachelor’s degree in law after their graduation offered by various colleges and universities across the country. Bar council of India is the regulatory body for law education in India. The course is divided in 6 semesters which includes theoretical sessions, mock court rooms, and internships with senior lawyers. Certain institutes also offer 5 year integrated LLB program along with B.A., B.Com, B.B.A., B.Sc.,  

Any graduate interested to build career in Law can purse their 2 years L.L.M. course offered by various institutes. The admission is through score in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) conducted once in a year. Students can also pursue their Ph.D. programs in law after completion.

National Law University, New Delhi – NLU – D, National Law School of India University – NLSIU, Bangalore, Nalsar University of Law – NLU – Hyderabad are premier law institutes in India offering range of specializations.
