G.T.R.M.Govt. Degree College was newly established in the year 15^th September-2008 and gradually developed in to a full-pledged degree college offering conventional courses at UG level. In memory of Sri. Gangula Thimma Reddy Ex MLA garu, his sons Sri. G. Prathapa Reddy Ex MP, Sri. G. Manohar Reddy , and Sri G. Prabhakar Reddy garu donated the land and constructed building at present location. Their main intention of establishment of college is to render quality education to the children of the down – trod dew people and to transform the students from economically, socially and intellectually disadvantaged position into confident, efficient and well rounded personalities.

G.T.R.M.Govt. Degree  College is located in the out skirts of Yerraguntla village of  Sirvel Mandal in Kurnool District in a very peaceful place. This is located on the National high way  40 and hence transportation facility is well available for students who are coming to college from nearby villages. This area is surrounded by a number of villages which are backward in all aspects and this importance in serving the needy rural population.

This institution has prepared an elaborated schedule of co curricular, extracurricular and extension activities with an outreach into every aspect of developing society, health and hygienic ,education, environment and other people-oriented programs like clean and green, swatch Bharath and NSS activities.

1. All the Lecturers in-charge of the departments have collected accurate and up to date from their departments concerned. The lectures in-charge of the departments convened departmental meetings and discussed all issues related to academic activities.
2. A committee was constituted to co-ordinate the collection and analysis of data with senior members of faculty under the super-vision of Dr D. Rama Krishna Reddy, Principal. The committee held discussions with all the departments and administration individually and collectively. The conveners and members of various committees of the college constituted by the principal were also consulted in this regard.
