Varaha College of architecture & Planning (VCAP) is carved out from VLNSET, a group of colleges in the year 2011. In the beginning the college is affiliated to JNAUFA, Hyderabad and later on, after state bifurcation it was affiliated to JNTUK. The Government of Andhra Pradesh approved under GO. Ms No.74 Higher Education(EC) Department dared 28-07-2011 for establishment of professional courses and fee structure through GO. Ms No.41 Higher Education (EC) Department dared 25-06-2016. Also approved by council of Architecture with an intake of 40 students.
The Varaha College is a specialized Architectural professional entity, only one of its kinds, which exclusively provides training at various levels, in different aspects of human habitat and environment. The college has taken lead in introducing academic programmes in specialized fields both at conceptual and practical level, some of which are even today not available elsewhere in the state. The College, in striving for excellence, has always been in the lead in extending education and research to new frontiers of knowledge.
The current Varaha College of architecture & Planning (VCAP) campus is located near Gopalapatnam, Visakhapatnam. It is 4 KM from Simhachalam Railway station and 6km from Visakhapatnam Airport.
