Even though the Siddaganga Institute of Technology was established in 1963, the Department of Architecture was added to the vast curricula of S.I.T. in 1992. The Department is housed in a separate building of its own with excellent infrastructural facilities and in the beautiful setting of the campus.

The Department at present has sanctioned intake capacity of 40 seats. The aim of the curriculum of B. Architecture programme is to train the students to be well versed in the profession of architecture with the knowledge of design of building and infrastructures with proper consideration to the technological advancement and need of the mod ern age but keeping the aesthetic and local cultural heritage values.
