The year was 1935. The Indian nation had yet to be born. There was more deprivation than development during the British regime's reign. While many chose to fight for political independence, one man with a vision chose a different path to achieve academic independence. Prof N.Ananthachar dared to open a primary school on August 15, 1935, the date Indian destiny chose for its independence twelve years later. The founder of APS institutions, an endowed teacher with a Master's Degree, initially chose to trade in vegetables in Bangalore's Basavanagudi district. This enterprising spirit quickly won the approval of locals and even the Dewan of Mysore, as well as other literary luminaries such as Sri Balasaraswathi, Sri R. Gopala Krishna Iyengar, and others.
The Director of Public Instruction recognized this school the following year. Thus was born a great noble educational institution. Today, it takes pride in having mentored thousands of academic achievements through its various institutions.
