Malnad College of Engineering was founded in 1960 as a partnership between the Government of India, the Government of Karnataka, and the Malnad Technical Education Society, Hassan. On NH-75, the Institute is halfway between Bengaluru (180 km) and Mangaluru (170 km). The college is situated on a 41.28-acre campus and has all of the amenities that one would expect from a modern engineering school. With roughly 4000 students on its registers, the college offers 9 B.E, 5 M.Tech, M.Sc.(Engg.) by Research, Ph.D, and MCA programmes.
