Darul Irshad Arabic College is premier institution of its kind imparting yeoman service in the field of moral and secular education for the last four decades. It is situated at Paral, in the municipality of Thalassery of Kannur District. The college was established by a group of eminent scholars who were known for their exemplary life.

The college was established in the year 1975 and later in the year 1995 it was recognized by the Govt.of Kerala and got affiliated to the University of Calicut. In the year 1996 the affiliation was shifted to Kannur University.

The college is now run by Lajnathul Irshad comittee.Through its untiring work and with the unstinting support of the staff and the people , the college has been darting to apex of progress.From the moment of its inception the college has been functioning as an outstanding secular centre of academic excellence.
