Namboodiris College of teacher education, Irinjalakuda is a self financing college of education for conducting B.Ed course. The college is owned by Tharananellur Educational and cultural society (TECS)-R307/06. It is affiliated to the University Of Calicut and recognised by NCTE. The most important objective of this college is to train good teachers who are intellectually competent, morally upright, spiritually inspired- in short , a psychologically integrated and socially acceptable personality, to be an agent of changing creating a society which respects dignity of individual, fight social unjust and nurtures religious harmony. The college is established to achieve its motto. Discipline, Devotion, Dexterity. The college started functioning with 100 students on 2009. This is the first professional college under the TECS which gives preparation for all students, irrespective of caste and creed.
