Ottapalam is the educational centre of palakkad district. The place has given birth to many distinguished personalities. In this area more than 30% of the population is muslims. This community in this area is socially and economically backward and educationally deprived. Number of professionals and representation in civil services from this community are too negligible.

In order to eradicate the backwardness and include them I the main stream of nation building. Some dynamic persons from this area formed a charitable trust Markazul Isha’athil Islamiyya trust ottapalam on 15th July 1993. It is registered under society Registration Act 21st 1861 as per the Registration No. 245/94 dated 27/4/1994. The Trust is blessed under the Chairmanship of Shaik Aboobacker Bin Ahammed (Kanthapuram A.P Aboobacker Musliyar, General Seretary, All India Jam-Iyyatgul Ulama) President. Janab Kombam K.P Muhammed Musliyar and secretary Janab. M.V Siddique Saquafi, Ottapalam.
