Jam’iyyat Da’wa Tablighul Islam, known as JDT Islam is a charitable educational institution, established in 1922.This institution is managed by a registered committee and recognized by both central and state governments. It is one of the oldest and renowned orphanages in the Malabar region in the state of Kerala, India. It commenced functioning as an orphanage for the unfortunate children who were the offspring of the historical ‘Wagon Tragedy’ of Malabar rebellion during colonial regime. It was founded by intellectual stalwarts like Janab:Abdul Kader Kasoori from Punjab with the idea of the welfare and care of the innumerable orphans and destitute children across the country and for their upliftment from educational and economic backwardness. Presently JDT Islam has journeyed a long way to attain its present position and status and was able to make its mark, winning a wider acceptance and acclaim in the whole of Malabar. JDT institutions have completed over 99 years of excellence and over 15 years of healthcare services
