Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen (KNM), a registered society for the religious and socio-cultural development of Muslims in Kerala, established Jamia Nadwiyya Edavanna in 1964. JNE has grown into a large campus spread over 27 acres of land and sufficient infrastructural facilities, with a student strength of 2500 during the academic year 2007-'08. A diverse group of qualified and experienced academicians and researchers from various disciplines leads sessions for JNE undergraduate and postgraduate students. The programs provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the Quran, Hadith, Literature, History, and Culture of Muslims. When developing the curriculum, the focus is on excellence and innovation. Life at JNE molds its students as good Muslims who practice the Islamic way of life, in addition to imparting knowledge, developing specialized skills, and nurturing attitudes necessary for student growth.
