Pocker Sahib Memorial Orphanage College was established in July 1968 as an aided junior college, affiliated to the University of Kerala under the management of the Tirurangadi Muslim Orphanage Committee (Regd.)

Though the college was initially intended for the educational advancement of the orphans in the Muslim community, presently it fulfills the educational aspirations of students from all communities. The campus is located 13 km away from the University of Calicut, at an earshot distance from Kakkad, on the Calicut – Thrissur National Highway. It is also well connected with air and rail routes of Malabar making it easily accessible. It takes just 9 km to reach Parappanangadi Railway station, 15 km to the Calicut International Airport and 20 km to Malappuram District Head Quarters.
