Government Arts and Science College,Kozhinjampara was founded as a result of the people's and political leaders' unwavering pursuit of a government college in the linguistic minority area of Kozhinjampara village. Since its humble beginnings in 2005, the college has consistently grown by nurturing and cherishing the higher education aspirations of local students. Around 85% of the students are female, and 90% come from rural and underserved areas. Almost 90% of students receive government scholarships and grants in the form of fee reductions. The college hostel for girls can house more than 60 students. The college library has nearly 11,000 books and a good number of periodicals in multiple languages, including Tamil.
