The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, has given Amal Jyothi its approval. Since 2015, it has been associated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University in Thiruvananthapuram. The College was associated with Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam from 2001 to 2014.
