The Mar Thoma Educational, Technical, Training & Research Centre (MT-ETTARC), which has its head office at, Mar Thoma Kendram, Mannanthala, Trivandrum, under the Trivandrum-Quilon Diocese of the Mar Thoma Church, owns and manages the Mar Thoma College of Science & Technology, an Arts & Science College affiliated to The University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, India. The college has been properly affiliated with the University of Kerala and offers six post-graduate and eight undergraduate courses. The Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific, and Charitable Societies Registration Act XII of 1955 governs the registration of organizations like the society (MT-ETTARC). According to the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions' order dated 15.09.2009, F. No. 799 of 2008, the institution is recognized as a Minority Status Institution under Article 30 of the Indian Constitution.
The Mar Thoma College of Science and Technology, with its expansive campus and idyllic location by the State Highway (SH-1) between Ayur and Chadayamangalam, overlooks the alluring Ithikkara River and uses value-based education, rooted in social, ethical, and spiritual foundations, to impart knowledge that is seen and understood in the context of God's revealed wisdom.
The Mar Thoma College of Science and Technology owes its foundation to the visionary brilliance of the late His Grace the Most Reverend Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan, our founding patron, and to the abundant mercy and blessings of Our Lord. Without a doubt, the Founder's unwavering resolve, adventurous bravery, and risk-taking boldness produced the college. We humbly acknowledge the insight, foresight, and zeal of our Founding Father. We honor all those who worked in various capacities and contributed to the creation of this institution with a sincere sense of gratitude.
The college offers undergraduate degree programs in B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Sc. Polymer Chemistry, B.Sc. Electronics, B.Sc. Botany & Biotechnology, B.Com. Commerce with Computer Application, B.A. English Language and Literature, B.B.A. Business Administration, and B.Com. Finance, as well as postgraduate degree programs in M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.Sc.
